Sr. Executive Purchase Requisition Operations Port Qasim

JOB PURPOSE:

To efficiently manage timely purchase requisitions in line with stock trends, overseeing cost allocation to the correct ledger and support plant controlling by providing prompt decision-making data

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare purchase requisitions as raised daily by operations and maintenance
• Ensure each requisition detail is accurate, including the requestor’s name, department, date of request, products/services, reason for purchase, etc
• Verify and check each purchase requisition for internal consistency and accuracy, ensuring the correct usage of general ledger accounts and cost centres, and request adjustments when necessary
• Work with stakeholders for new indirect material code creations
• Maintain a daily requisition log register, sharing the status of posted / unposted requests with accompanying reasons
• Review each purchase requisition against monthly and year-to-date budgets at both plant and ledger levels, ensuring potential budget overruns are highlighted to the Plant Manager
• Partner with stakeholders, communicating any issues on a daily basis and requesting necessary actions to resolve them
• Offer accounting assistance to project managers and operations staff, addressing financial concerns to meet business needs
• Support the plant controlling function by ensuring the timely provision of data to stakeholders, aiding decision-making processes
• Respond promptly to stakeholder information requests, providing data in a prescribed format on a weekly basis, detailing raised and issued purchase requisitions
• Develop trend-based data from the system, providing visibility of requirements against their minimum order quantities, and present this in weekly reports
• Prepare weekly ageing reports of open purchase requisitions & service requests ensuring timely resolution of outstanding requests
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in purchase requisition methods to ensure NFL adopts best practices consistently
• Work closely with the Operations Excellence team for creating relevant dashboards & reports for KPI tracking
• Work with Engineering & SAP teams for Material Master Data optimization
• Partner with Engineering & GMS teams for inventory optimization, while ensuring no stock outs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with 3-5 years of experience

Or

Postgraduate degree in relevant discipline with 1-2 years of experience
