Job Purpose:

To design, develop, maintain and continuously improve SAP applications, ABAP developments, SAP BTP services and enterprise integrations across the SAP S/4HANA landscape. The role translates business requirements into robust technical solutions, leads API and integration delivery, supports project implementation and production operations, and ensures all SAP technical developments follow security, governance, performance and documentation standards. 

Principal Responsibilities:

SAP Development & Technical Delivery 

• Design, develop, enhance, test and support SAP applications using ABAP, Object-Oriented ABAP and S/4HANA development frameworks. 
• Develop and maintain reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflows (RICEFW objects). 
• Convert business process requirements into technical specifications, development estimates, solution designs and unit-tested deliverables. 
• Develop scalable, reusable and maintainable SAP technical components aligned with SAP best practices. 
• Conduct code reviews, optimize ABAP performance and ensure technical quality before transport release. 

SAP S/4HANA & Modern Development 

• Develop and support CDS Views, OData Services, SAP Gateway services and Fiori backend enablement objects. 
• Apply S/4HANA extensibility concepts, clean-core principles, BAdIs, enhancement frameworks and modern ABAP patterns. 
• Support UI/UX enablement where backend services are required for Fiori, analytics or digital applications. 

SAP BTP & Integration Management 

• Design, develop and support enterprise integrations using SAP BTP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration where applicable. 
• Build and maintain interfaces using REST APIs, SOAP services, IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, JSON/XML payloads and event-driven integration patterns. 
• Support SAP integrations with Salesforce, SuccessFactors, banking platforms, distributor applications, Microsoft ecosystem solutions and other third-party platforms. 
• Use tools such as Postman and API monitoring utilities for endpoint testing, validation and troubleshooting. 
• Maintain integration catalogs, interface documentation, mapping specifications and operational handover documents. 

Solution Design, Governance & Technical Leadership 

• Assess technical feasibility, dependencies, risks and effort for new enhancements and integration requirements. 
• Recommend secure, scalable and supportable SAP technical solution approaches. 
• Provide technical guidance to functional consultants, project teams, vendors and junior technical resources. 
• Ensure transport governance, change control, segregation of duties and SAP development standards are followed. 

Project Implementation, SIT/UAT & Go-Live Support 

• Lead technical workstreams during design, build, SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live and hypercare. 
• Support test planning, defect resolution, traceability and validation of technical objects and interfaces. 
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve design gaps, API dependencies and integration issues. 
• Provide timely status updates, risks and mitigation plans to ERP/PMO leadership. 

Production Support & Continuous Improvement 

• Provide Level 2 / Level 3 support for SAP technical, application and interface incidents. 
• Monitor and troubleshoot SAP interface failures and business-critical technical issues within agreed SLAs. 
• Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, performance improvement and reduction of manual interventions. 
• Keep abreast of SAP ABAP, S/4HANA, BTP, Integration Suite and emerging technology developments and recommend fit-for-purpose adoption.

Education: Graduate

Experience: 4-6 years relevant experience preferred.
